What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the muscular and skeletal systems and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.

Doctors of Chiropracticoften referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide lifestyle counseling.

The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.”   The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury. (ACAtoday.com)

Your First Visit . .  .

  • As with any visit to the doctor there is paper work that must be completed.  This will help the doctor understand your health concerns and how best we can help you.

  • Next, the  Chiropractic Examination will be completed to help identify problem related areas of the spine.

  •  The report of findings will give the results of the examination to the patient.  Included will be treatment recommendations. These recommendations may include referrals to other healthcare providers if needed.

  • Treatment is usually provided the first day of the visit if indicated.

  • Our goal is to provide the best care possible for the patient.
